Rest & Relaxation in Punta Sal
Punta Sal is one of my favourite places in all of Peru and I’m sure you can see why.
In February we spent a couple of days exploring a little section of the Gulf Coast of Florida. It was a delightful 48 hours spent wandering the beaches, eating ice cream and drinking local beers. The sky was blue, the sea was turquoise, the sand was white and the parks were truly beautiful. We stuck to the southern barrier islands to the west of St. Petersburg, namely Treasure Island, St Pete Beach and Fort de Soto.

There is so much to do in these beachside towns that you could probably spend a good week here and still not quite do everything! I’ve made a little guide to everything we experienced when we were there in the hopes of giving you a good starting point. Continue reading
Walt Disney World is one of the most enjoyable places I’ve visited, but the fun is not just contained within the parks! There’s a lot you can do within the resort itself without needing to buy an entry ticket to the four main sites. One of the numerous activities on offer here is mini golf.
My last post was all about the incredible Diagon Alley section of Universal Orlando, but today we’re taking the Hogwarts Express over to the Islands of Adventure park to see Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts Castle.
If you’ve been reading for a while, then you know how much of a huge fangirl I am of Harry Potter. I have been ever since I was at school and I still am now. In fact, if anything, I love it more than ever.
It literally fills me with joy when I get to experience something that was part of the books and/or films or the inspiration behind it, so imagine how I felt getting to visit an immersive replica of Diagon Alley, complete with shops, The Leaky Cauldron and a giant fire breathing dragon.
The Amalfi Coast is an amazing place to visit and Sorrento is a gem of a town whatever the time of year. In summer you have incredible weather, although crowded I imagine, and during the winter it’s cooler but easier to explore.

I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days here back in December and here are my recommendations of places not to miss if you decide to take the trip yourself! Continue reading
The Bavarian Alps is the destination that made all my winter dreams come true this year.
Last month I headed over to Germany to fulfil my dream of visiting a traditional German Christmas market. I decided on Munich as my destination (there are so many markets throughout Germany) as it meant that I could also visit the gorgeous snow-topped Bavarian Alps whilst there.
I don’t at all believe in making New Year’s Resolutions, but I thought, after enjoying compiling my 2017 review, that I might like to put some goals down in writing and see how many I’ve achieved by this time next year.
During winter and into spring, the warm, Gulf-fed freshwater springs of Florida get some very interesting visitors.
Amsterdam is the most beautiful city and after spending 5 days there I can definitely say it’s one of the top places on my list of ‘places I want to live’. I highly recommend you take some time to visit Amsterdam, even if it’s just for a weekend. It’s absolutely stunning and you can spend hours just wandering the pretty streets and alongside the canals.
However, Amsterdam is so much more than its aesthetic. It’s full of culture and history (the Rijksmuseum is amazing and the Vondelpark is gorgeous), but it’s also jam packed with delicious places to eat and drink. The Dutch have a lot of specialties that you don’t often see outside of the Netherlands, and they also have some sublime versions of things that you can, so you genuinely have to try everything!
I hope this little guide gives you a good starting point for your next trip to Amsterdam.

Travelling alone can be a daunting prospect but there are so many benefits from planning a solo trip. Whether it be a day trip away (a good way to take that first step), a city break, a two week holiday, working/studying abroad, or even a 6 month trip around the world, they can all offer you something unique and a way to explore your interests and individuality.
