Is there anything better than afternoon tea?
Unlimited sandwiches, sweet treats and cups of tea is a joyful experience in itself, but having it with a Christmas theme goes another step further. Continue reading

When it comes to Christmas, cranberries are always at the top of my shopping list.
I love fresh ones to make cranberry sauce and dried ones to bake with and, honestly, what better thing to make with them than cookies. Continue reading
Welcome to my fifth and final gift guide and I think I might have saved the best until last!
I’ve already shared my gift guides for people who love hosting parties, for those looking to make some eco-friendly changes in their lives, for those who love to cook or experiment in the kitchen and for those who love to travel. So if you haven’t seen those, and think they might be perfect for someone you know, then click on the links to take a look!
As I said in my last guide, for me, Christmas is not about the gifts. However, sometimes you do want to get somebody a special something, or perhaps you need to (like for Secret Santa or a December birthday), so I thought I would put together some little lists for inspiration. I find other people’s lists and recommendations so useful and even if I don’t purchase anything from them, they often give me an idea for something I hadn’t thought of before. Continue reading
The Chilcano is one of Peru’s best loved drinks, alongside the Pisco Sour of course.
I love spending time in London during the festive period.
The city goes all out for Christmas and we’ve been visiting every year since we were kids. We’ve had so many fun memories over the years, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite things to do. It’s likely that most of these are things you can do in every city in England, but London just has the biggest variety! Continue reading

Gifting season will soon be upon us so I thought I would try my hand at ‘gift guiding’! For me, Christmas is not about the gifts and I honestly love baking gifts for people instead. However, sometimes you do want to get somebody a special something, or perhaps you need to (like for Secret Santa or a December birthday), so I thought I would put together some little lists for inspiration.
I find other people’s lists and recommendations so useful (I’ve already bought two gifts I found on one..) and even if I don’t purchase anything from them, they often give me an idea for something I hadn’t thought of before (or to search for a different style or more affordable option). I will be sharing five guides in total for food and travel and they will be a mix of things that I love and recommend, things I’ve purchased for others (I obviously can’t say what), or things that are actually on my wish list! Granola is a great way to start the day. Like a crumbled up cookie for breakfast.
Dessert. Breakfast. Happy times. Continue reading
This week is Bees’ Needs Week, which was created to raise awareness of how we can help our wonderful little pollinators.
It’s a real thing. I promise.
I literally cannot go an Easter without eating this beautiful invention. In Peru, you cannot find hot cross buns (along with Cadbury’s creme eggs and mini eggs), which makes me unbelievably sad, so I have my mum either bring them to me in Lima when she comes to visit or freeze them until I go home later in the year. The problem is real. Continue reading
