This week is Bees’ Needs Week, which was created to raise awareness of how we can help our wonderful little pollinators.
It’s officially summer and what better way to celebrate than with a cold, fruity glass of Pimm’s & Lemonade.
These biscuits are the cutest little things.
It’s a real thing. I promise.
I literally cannot go an Easter without eating this beautiful invention. In Peru, you cannot find hot cross buns (along with Cadbury’s creme eggs and mini eggs), which makes me unbelievably sad, so I have my mum either bring them to me in Lima when she comes to visit or freeze them until I go home later in the year. The problem is real. Continue reading
Wow, so this week is a week celebrating the strongest women we know. All of us.
Yes. Today is International Women’s Day, when we as women, alongside continuously campaigning for equality and rights, can be celebrated, in all our walks of life, whatever we choose to do. However, this Sunday in the UK is Mother’s Day, when we say thank you to those specific women in our lives, our amazing mums, for all the work they’ve done for us over the years. And I do think that this Bill Granger recipe lends itself to an amazing Mother’s Day pressie. It’s handmade with love from you to her, plus they’re damn delicious. And who doesn’t like cookies?
I loved living by the ocean when I moved there a couple of years ago. It was so calming to listen to and beautiful to look at, that it made me forget I was living near a huge city and a desert. It was honestly a lifesaver.
I have travelled to many parts of the world and dipped my toes in many an ocean, sea and river, and I have always been amazed by them. I have to admit that I’m a little afraid of the vast oceans, but I am still absolutely fascinated by the life that grows and feeds there. From the huge blue whales and my favourite penguins to the tiny little jellyfish and coral reefs, I can’t help but be in awe of how amazing our planet is. Continue reading
Happy Galentine’s Day everyone!
Today is the day we celebrate our best girl friends and the female relationships we all have in our lives. And with tomorrow being Valentine’s Day we’re celebrating love in all it’s shapes and sizes. So, what better way to do this than with some kind of food.
Last month I headed over to Germany to fulfil my dream of visiting a traditional German Christmas market. I decided on Munich as my destination (there are so many markets throughout Germany) as it meant that I could also visit the gorgeous snow-topped Bavarian Alps whilst there.
I don’t at all believe in making New Year’s Resolutions, but I thought, after enjoying compiling my 2017 review, that I might like to put some goals down in writing and see how many I’ve achieved by this time next year.
Is it just me or has this year whizzed by in a flash?
As a child, I’m sure the space of time between the summer holidays was a never-ending year of school, but now as an adult that same space of time seems to last a nanosecond. I feel like I’m getting older way too fast! I have to say though, it may have been a quick year, but I made sure I packed it full. I was determined this year to make the most of all the opportunities I came across and I think I did pretty well. Continue reading
