Afternoon tea, for me, is quintessentially British and it’s the way we celebrate so many occasions.
Who would say no to a spread of mini sandwiches and sweet treats with hot tea or champagne? Certainly not me! Continue reading

Is there anything better than afternoon tea?
Unlimited sandwiches, sweet treats and cups of tea is a joyful experience in itself, but having it with a Christmas theme goes another step further. Continue reading
Every time I go back home to Cambridge I love to visit my old favourites, obviously, but I also really enjoy trying new places and dishes too.
I always make a list of places that have opened that have tempted me to try, or recommendations from friends, or even places that are others’ tried and tested favourites that I haven’t had the chance to visit yet.
2018 was a good year of new food for me and although there was more than there is on this list, I’ve rounded it out to 12 of them. Plus, I’ve also added one of my boyfriend’s new favourites that he genuinely couldn’t get enough of while we were there. I’d like to say that a couple of these places are not new discoveries, but the dishes are and they just had to be shared. Continue reading
New York, New York, what a wonderful town….
And wonderful it sure is, especially the food and drink scene. From fancy restaurants and rooftop bars to markets and traditional street food, New York City has it all. There is so much to be savoured and never enough time to try it all, so I thought I would share a few of my favourite finds from my most recent visit to the Big Apple.
I hope you find something to tickle your tastebuds! Continue reading
Maltby Street Market may be small but don’t underestimate how much food there is to be found here. You will absolutely need to make multiple trips here to try everything, or just bring a lot of friends to share with!
Normally I visit a location a fair few times before I write about it on here, just to make sure it really is as good as I think (Astrid & Gastón, Hanzo, Tanta), although there are special occasions like Lima Food Week or Lima Restaurant Week where I have shared some places that I had only visited once but think would be a good option to visit, especially with the one-off discount (Mayta, Malabar, La Nacional).
However, there have been occasions where I visit somewhere and I just know that I’ll keep going back to visit whenever I can. This happened to me a while ago with El Pan de la Chola, and now with Cafe de Lima. Continue reading
Summer is here! Meaning I am eating ice cream and spending days at the beach (obviously in between working) so I am crazy happy! I had the coco ice cream at Laritza D’ this week and man was that good. Jam packed full of coconut. And I mean full. I also managed to find myself some ice lolly moulds so that I can even make my own! I have some strawberry ones waiting in my freezer for me right this second, which I feel is always a good thing.
So in honour of my ice cream/ lolly obsession (although its pretty much all year round) I want to share the greatness of ice cream/ lolly recipes from the web. Here is my top 10 that I have found so far, but there may be greater ones yet to find…. MUST. KEEP. LOOKING. (and eating).
