Happy Easter weekend!
I know it’s been a while, but I thought I’d start back with something everyone loves. Chocolate cake!

Happy Easter Monday!!!
Welcome to Lucerne, Switzerland.
The place with probably one of the most beautiful looking lakes in history. Continue reading
If you’re not sure that you want to go out and buy gifts for everyone this year, why not make them instead?
Something homemade is perfect to give to a host of a party, have your children make for friends or their teacher, or even to give to everyone in your family on the big day. And after all, who doesn’t love a gift they can eat?
When it comes to Christmas, cranberries are always at the top of my shopping list.
I love fresh ones to make cranberry sauce and dried ones to bake with and, honestly, what better thing to make with them than cookies. Continue reading
Welcome to my fifth and final gift guide and I think I might have saved the best until last!
I’ve already shared my gift guides for people who love hosting parties, for those looking to make some eco-friendly changes in their lives, for those who love to cook or experiment in the kitchen and for those who love to travel. So if you haven’t seen those, and think they might be perfect for someone you know, then click on the links to take a look!
As I said in my last guide, for me, Christmas is not about the gifts. However, sometimes you do want to get somebody a special something, or perhaps you need to (like for Secret Santa or a December birthday), so I thought I would put together some little lists for inspiration. I find other people’s lists and recommendations so useful and even if I don’t purchase anything from them, they often give me an idea for something I hadn’t thought of before. Continue reading
Mint and dark chocolate has to be one of my favourite flavour combinations.
Plus, peppermint and chocolate is everyone’s Christmas favourite, right?!
I love to buy chocolate mint creams all year round, but I feel like in December I just doubly love to have them in the house. They make me feel all festive. This recipe came about because I wanted to make my own mint creams, but then I got cravings for tiffin and rocky road, which are pretty biscuit-y, so I thought why not combine them (but in a much simpler way)? Ah, Amsterdam, you beautiful city.
I hope you all enjoyed part one of the Amsterdam Edit and all the fun and food it had to offer! If that wasn’t enough then fear not, there is always more, and here I am as promised with part two… Continue reading
Amsterdam is probably one of my favourite cities in the world. I love the way of life there, full of food, canals and bikes. There’s a ton of apple pie, pancakes, croquettes and dutch genever. It’s wonderful.
We’ve visited a couple of times recently and because of all the great places we found I wanted to collate some that you wouldn’t want to miss out on. So, there’ll be a mix of food spots, museums, galleries, stores and public spaces that we would absolutely recommend to everyone. I say a mix, but honestly, it’s mainly food. I can’t help myself.
I’ve only ever visited during spring/summer, but I think Amsterdam would be a great place to take a city break over the Christmas period. However, it’s not a ‘one-season-only’ city, so whenever you visit will be just as lively and charismatic.
I’m splitting my edit over two parts as I cannot possibly fit everything into one post. It would literally just be endless and you might lose your favourite place amongst all the others.
I hope you enjoy a wander through this gorgeous Dutch city and find some places that inspire you to visit or help you to plan an upcoming trip…. Continue reading

Today is the day we celebrate our best girl friends and the female relationships we all have in our lives. And with tomorrow being Valentine’s Day we’re celebrating love in all it’s shapes and sizes. So, what better way to do this than with some kind of food.
