🇵🇪 Almost exactly a year ago I visited the Reserva Nacional de Lachay to see it in all its wintertime glory. The mist gives it an almost spooky, Sleepy Hollow-esque atmosphere, but the carpet of green foliage is just too beautiful. In summer it’s an absolute desert, but in winter it literally transforms itself. 🇬🇧 English strawberries in season are just little bundles of pure joy. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy them - not least because it’s Wimbledon! I find that you get the best ones straight from the farm, so we went to a pick-your-own field at Lidgate Farm in Isleham to get ours. 🇬🇧 Yesterday we went on a bike ride in the sunshine over to FoodPark, to gorge ourselves on chicken burgers, wings and a mezze box filled with hummus and halloumi. Then today was spent with two lovely friends and their gorgeous babies lounging in the garden eating M&S chocolate mini rolls. 🇬🇧 I’ve not long come back from the absolute best trip up in the gorgeous @peakdistrictnationalpark. We walked a lot, we visited caverns and I pretty much lived on all things baked and encased in pastry! I was even lucky enough to call the beautiful village of Castleton my home for over a week.
