They’re the best food in the whole wide world and I cannot even think about having Christmas (or any Sunday lunch or roast dinner) without them. I know that Lima is not the first place you would think of when booking your Christmas holidays, but if you do happen to find yourself here over the festive period there are some locations that keep the Christmas spirit going throughout December!! It really helps being away from my family over Christmas if I can find places that fill me with seasonal cheer or remind me of home, so here are my picks for doing just that.

And at The Marriott, ‘a lot of food’ is just what they’re offering.
The Marriott Hotel is situated just behind the Malecon (the path that follows the clifftop) and Larcomar shopping centre in Miraflores, and their restaurant ‘La Vista’ has beautiful views of the ocean in front of it.
La Vista has 4 types of buffet throughout the week; breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (amazing) and a Sunday lunch buffet.
When I say Asia I’m referring to the beach, not the continent. That would be a lot of travel for only 24 hours! Seeing as it’s getting towards the end of the hottest part of summer, we decided to whisk ourselves off for 24 hours to enjoy some sun, sea, sand, food and drink in the vibrant coastal area of Asia.
